The South Valley Entrepreneurial Network hosts Taza, the nation’s only Spanish-language 1 Million Cups event, weekly from 9-10 a.m. Thursdays at the South Valley Economic Development Center, 318 Isleta Blvd.

What happens at Taza?

  • Each week features a topic/theme provided by the community;
  • A local entrepreneur shares for 10 minutes in their most comfortable language a story or experience related to the theme, emphasizing barriers they are facing or have overcome;
  • That presentation is followed by 30 minutes of low-pressure and energizing discussion, problem solving and conversation from the community.

SVEN is always looking for local business owners to present at Taza. The presenter is heavily supported by SVEN before the event with one-on-one discussions, Powerpoint templates and other resources. If you’d like to give it a try, please email sven@svedc.org.

The South Valley Entrepreneurial Network (SVEN) is a collaborative group of South Valley community members and small business owners. The goal is for members to form relationships and gain support for their businesses.
